The Wind Waker is more easily digestible – I found myself energised after every dungeon or significant milestone, hungry for more.Īnother factor in The Wind Waker’s favour is that it is possessed of so much charm, humour and personality. After completing one dungeon, I found myself very drained. The more exhaustive and expansive nature of Twilight Princess also makes it more exhausting. I have played both games back-to-back very recently and I find my opinion has changed in favour of The Wind Waker. The Wind Waker had mostly flawless level design, too. Their level design is often casually flawless. But, in all fairness – this is Nintendo you’re competing with. Personally, I thought that only the clockwork lightning dungeon was up to usual Zelda standards. Unfortunately for Okami, the dungeon design is only decent at best. Amaterasu was the better wolf to play as, she had the more interesting world to muck about in – and the sound design and art design were easily superior too. ![]() ![]() There’s another factor to consider when re-evaluating Twilight Princess. ![]()
